Himalayan Dairy sealed

KATHMANDU, July 9: The Department of Food Technology and Quality Control (DFTQC) on Tuesday sealed Lagankhel-based Himalayan Dairy after high level of coliform bacteria was found in its products.[break]



 "We have saled the production plant of Himalayan Dairy after we found high level of coliform bacteria in its product," Pramod Koirala, spokesperson for DFTQC, said. Meanwhile, an official of Himalayan Dairy said the department sealed their production plant at a time when the company was in the process of bringing down coliform bacteria count in its product to zero.
