Kathmandu March 1: Kathmandu Mayor Balen Shah received the support of Dharan's Mayor Harka Sampang Rai, who also challenged Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
Posting a status on social media Saturday morning, Harka criticized the Prime Minister for picking fights with mayors, stating that it would achieve nothing. He urged Oli to take on more significant challenges, like fighting against Narendra Modi and Xi Jinping.
He wrote, "The Prime Minister should act like a Prime Minister! You can't fight with mayors! If you can, fight against Narendra Modi and Xi Jinping instead!"
