Govt to set up science study centres

Kathmandu, June 12: The government is to set up Science Study Centre at one each community school in each five development regions of the country for the development of science and environment.



Spokesperson at the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment, Gokarna Mani Duwadi, said that such centres are going to be set up as model project to provide environmental education to students from the use of proper equipments and practical knowledge.[break]



Stating that such centres would help students practically in environmental education, Duwadi also informed about the seminar organised in Dhading on the usefulness of the Science Study Centre.



Department of Environment under the Ministry has been established and public awareness programmes on environment protection would be run in district-level all the year round, it is learnt.
