Issuing a statement on Saturday afternoon, TKS General Secretary, Raj Kumar Lekhi, said the reports about talks are completely false.
"I want to make it clear to one and all that the government claim that time and venue for the talks with our organization is set is completely false," Lekhi said in his statement.
He said the government has to declare those killed in the ongoing agitation as martyrs, release the TKS members arrested during protests, and pledge action against those involved in the suppression in their protests for creating conducive atmosphere for talks.
Earlier on Saturday, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal´s press advisor Om Sharma had said that the Ministry of Peace and Reconstruction had taken initiative to hold talks with the Tharu agitating groups at Singh Durbar Saturday afternoon.
"He (Dahal) is positive toward the demand of the Tharu community," Sharma told myrepublica.com.
TKS accused the government of duplicity. "On the one hand it is carrying out false publicity about talks while it is brutally suppressing peaceful demonstrations on the other," it said.
Three people -- two protestors and a police -- were killed in protests two days in Chitwan. The Tharus began their demonstrations four days ago and their general shutdown in the Tarai has entered sixth day.
