"As per the recommendation of the Security Council, the cabinet meeting decided to propose to the president to mobilize the Nepal Army for the purpose of carrying out various tasks of disaster management," said Minister for General Administration Lalbabu Pandit.
The president is the supreme commander of the national army but the president can take any decision only upon the recommendation of the council of ministers.
