KATHMANDU, March 27: Former Managing Director of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), Kulman Ghising, who claims to have been unlawfully dismissed, has filed a writ petition, which was registered at the Supreme Court on Thursday.

Claiming that his removal was illegal, he had approached the Supreme Court on Wednesday afternoon.

Ghising has named the Government of Nepal, the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation, and the NEA as respondents. He has demanded the annulment of the government's decision and his reinstatement as the NEA MD.

The SC administration has set the date for the preliminary hearing of his writ petition for Friday.
