Ganeshman NC Bhaktapur prez

KATHMANDU, Aug 28: Ganeshman Chakradhar has been elected as Nepali Congress (NC) President of Bhaktapur District Committee on Saturday. Chakradhar secured 182 of the total 344 votes cast in the voting. His rival Mahesh Shrestha secured a total of 143 votes.



While Chakradhar is close to senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba, Shrestha is said to be close to the establishment faction of the party led by Sushil Koirala.



Likewise, Jagannath Karki and Narayan Khyamuli have been elected as secretary and treasurer, respectively. Five Mahasamiti members from each of the two constituencies of the district were also elected on Saturday.
