KATHMANDU, June 1: Officer-bearers of the Tribhuvan University (TU) have ruled out the chances of free student election for now though some student leaders have pledged to take initiative to hold the election by mid-June.

Rector at the TU Gundanidhi Neupane said that the FSU election scheduled for June 6 would not have postponed if there were chances of election by mid-June.[break]

He also said that the election date was postponed based on suggestions of the student leaders after the election environment foiled due to dispute among the students organizations.

Leader of Nepal Student´s Union Lekhnath Pokhrel claimed that other students unions were to blame for FSU polls postponement.

Similarly, chair of CPN-Maoist affiliated student union Sharad Rasaili said there was no chance of FSU election before mid-November.
