Four UDMF cadres injured in Gaur locals attack

RAUTAHAT, Dec 8: At least four protestors were injured when locals clashed with United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) cadres staging protest at Gaur on Tuesday.

The clash erupted after UDMF cadres attacked Rohit Shah of Gaur on his way back to home from a shopping trip to Barganiya, India.

The locals retaliated against the UDMF.The UDMF cadres forcefully emptied petrol from Shah's motorcycle and attacked him.

Shah requested locals and his relatives to retaliate the UDMF cadres.

The border remained tense for nearly half an hour after the incident.

UDMF cadre Chandra Gupta of Mudabalawaha VDC and his colleagues were severely injured in the incident. They are receiving treatment at a local clinic.

Armed Police Force and Nepal Police personnel intervened and prevented any untoward incident. No one has been arrested in the incident, Armed Police Inspector Chiranjivi Prasai informed.
