KATHMANDU, March 19: Former King Gyanendra met Sonia* Gandhi, the chairperson of India’s ruling United Progressive Alliance, in New Delhi on Wednesday, according to Kantipur FM. The meeting took place at Gandhi’s residence at Janapad Niwas in New Delhi in the afternoon. Details about the meetings are not known. An aide of Gyanendra said it was a courtesy call. This is third high-level meeting by the former king, who is on a visit to India since February 25. Earlier he had met the chief ministers of Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat states.
