Minister of Agricultural Development Hari Prasad Parajuli is scheduled to inaugurate the four-day event which is being organized by Floriculture Association of Nepal (FAN).
According to the organizers, all preparation for the event has been completed. "All stalls have been booked by local as well as foreign exhibitors," JB Tamang, coordinator of the event, told Republica, adding" "We are hopeful that the event will become successful like past years and play a crucial role in promotion of Nepali floriculture industr"."
The event is being organized with the slogan of Floriculture for 'Healthy Environment and Economic Prosperity'. It aims to encourage farmers to start commercial farming of flower.
According to the organizers, the event will have 78 stalls, including six commercial stalls, three competitive stalls and 10 stalls providing information about floriculture industry"
"Six stalls have been booked by foreign exhibitors from South Asian countries including Ind"a," Tamang said.
Exhibitors will put on display 450 different species of seasonal and cut flowers, agricultural equipment, ornamental flowers, and nursery products, among others at the expo.
Meanwhile, a competition among exhibitors in different categories will be organized on the sidelines of the event.
