Floods block Butwal-Palpa road

PALPA, July 28: Floods have obstructed the Palpa-Butwal road section of Siddhartha Highway since 5 p.m. Monday.



Humananda Khanal, the chief of Traffic Police Office in Palpa said they were unable to clear the road due to heavy rains. He also informed that it will take some more days before vehicular traffic can resume on the highway.



Traffic movement remains obstructed and vehicles that were to leave for Kathmandu from Palpa, Gulmi and Arghakhanchi remain stuck.



Traffic police officials in Palpa say that floods also struck Malunga along the Palpa-Syangja road and vehicles remain stranded.
