Five die in bus accident

KATHMANDU, Feb 26:  A bus carrying a wedding procession met with an accident at Lalgadh in Dhanusha district around 8:40 p.m. on Thursday, leaving five persons dead on the spot, according to our correspondent Suresh Yadav.



The accident took place after the driver of the bus, bearing the number plate Na 1 Kha 9808, suddenly applied the brakes after seeing a mentally unstable person on the road. Those sitting on the roof of the bus fell down on the ground and five of them died on the spot. Two among the dead have been identified as Narayan Mahato and Dev Narayan Mahato of Janakinagar in Sarlahi district. Dozens are reported injured in the accident.



The bus was en route to Bengadabar of Dhanusha from Murtiya of Sarlahi.
