The fire broke out in the house of Purnamaya Karmacharya of Taulachhen of Bhaktapur -8 while celebrating the Deepawali, in the second floor of the house, and property worth hundreds of thousands of rupees was gutted.
The fire engine from Lalitpur district, team of the Metropolitan Police Range Office Bhaktapur and locals have been trying to take the fire under control, said DSP Madan Keshari.
Likewise, fire also broke out in the house of Jit Bahadur Dahal of Jhaukhel VDC- 3 this evening from explosion of gas cylinder.
Clothes and food grains were gutted from the fire.
Fire engine from Bhaktapur, a team from the Metropolis Police Circle Thimi, and locals have been trying to take the fire under control.
