Fire at UTL building doused

KATHMANDU, June 4: Firefighters have doused the massive fire that broke out at the fifth floor of the UTL building at Putalisadak in the capital, our correspondent Sundar Khanal reported.



The fire broke at about 6.15 a.m. due to short circuit in the building at the telecom company´s complex, police said. It took two hours to douse the fire. [fire]



The extent of the damage is yet to be ascertained.



Fire-engine from Kathmandu and Lalitpur were deployed in the effort. The building is located in a business area which remains very crowded during business hours.
