Forty-year-old Ganga Ram Rana and his daughter Urmila Rana, 17, both students of the Shiva Shakti Secondary School, Kalagaundi are sitting for the SLC exam at the Rastriya Higher Secondary School, Pipaladi exam center.
Ganga Ram, the father, said that he is taking the SLC exam as he wants to join higher education despite his age. "Age does not matter as long as you have the zeal for study. I want to show example to the society by completing my higher studies," he said on an optimistic note.
He said he and his daughter prepared for the exam by doing combined study and he was confident that he would be able to answer the questions.
Lokraj Joshi, the Head Teacher at the Shiva Shakti School, said although Gangaram's age is higher than the usual age of students of Grade 10, he is excellent in studies compared to other pupils in the class. RSS
