Facebook users can now see biographical information from new friends

WASHINGTON, May 23: Facebook has updated its messenger application wherein the users will now see publicly shared biographical information like current city and job title at the top of message threads from people they have not chatted before.

According to TechCrunch, the update has been launched on iOS Android in the U.S., U.K., France and India.


The messenger will display the information about the sender as well as existing Facebook friends that you have never messaged before.

The new update seems to fill the gap that LinkedIn and other social networking sites seem to lag on their mobile applications.
