Chief District Officer of Kavre Sudarshan Dhakal said that a five-member team under the leadership of a section officer has been deployed in the villages to support the ongoing relief distribution and collect the details of the damage caused by the earthquake.
The teams are working to distribute the relief materials and collect the details of damages at Panchkhal, Anekot, Gairibisauna, Deupur, Devitar, Rabiopi, Dhungkharka, Koshidekha, Birtadeurali, Gothpani, Chyamrengbensi and other VDCs. Dhakal added that the teams would continue this job for a month.
A total of 25 engineers from the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport and the district-based sub-engineers and overseers would collect the report of the physical damages, it is said.
CDO Dhakal said that the teams of technicians would be sent in all 76 VDCs in the district but adding that there were some difficulties due to lack of sufficient human resources.
Nearly 48,000 houses have been completely damaged while 20,000 houses have received partial damage in the district from the devastative earthquake. Similarly, 120,000 persons have been displaced.
Meanwhile, remote Banakhuchaur area in the district has faced short supply for foodstuffs. Lawmaker Resham Lama said that the foodstuffs sent for the area were date expired. RSS
