KATHMANDU, May 10: The death toll in the April 25 earthquake has crossed eight thousand mark on Sunday.
According to Nepal Police, 8,019 people have been killed by the deadly quake as of 9:15 am today.

Likewise, the number of injured is 16,033.
According to police, 1,713 have been killed in capital, 53 in Eastern Region, 5,832 in Central Region, 419 in Western Region and two in Mid-western Region.
Likewise, 9,022 in capital have sustained injuries, 325 in Eastern Region, 5,472 in Central Region, 1,190 in Western Region and 22 in Mid-western Region and two in Far-western Region.
Meanwhile, aftershocks from the April 25 earthquake have continued.
According to the National Seismological Center, it recorded a 4 magnitude earthquake with Rasuwa as epicenter at 11:08 am.
Likewise, 4.4 magnitude earthquake with Sindhupalchok as epicenter took place at 6:34 am and another 4.2 magnitude earthquake occurred at 1:50 am making Sindhupalchok-Tibet as epicenter.
Till the news was readied, the number of aftershocks following the Gorkha Earthquake has reached 156.
