E-Sports Championship begins

KATHMANDU, June 24: A gaming event is set to take place on Tuesday at the ground floor of the Civil Trade Center in Sundhara. Organized by ngamersclub.com, the E-sports Championship will see over 600 gamers participate in four different types of gaming categories – Counter-Strike, DotA, FIFA and mobile games.



Sponsored and supported by a variety of corporate companies including MSI, BenQ, Sony and Colors, the event has lucrative prizes for winners. Prizes worth Rs 2, 40,000 will be given to Counter-Strike, DotA and FIFA winners. Dexter Paintball will also be providing vouchers worth Rs 3,000 for every participant team while Fcube Cinemas will provide movie tickets to all the FIFA gamers. Colors mobile, on the other hand, will provide a mobile phone worth Rs 20,000 to the winner of the mobile gaming competition.[break]



Ngamersclub.com is a platform initially set up by Razu Tamang and Ayush Tuladhar, with the vision of changing the gaming scenario in Nepal. The main objective of this tournament, the organizers say, is to change the perspective of people towards gaming. People tend to have negative view towards gaming but gaming has many advantages, which this tournament is trying to bring out.



The tournament is open to the public for viewing.
