Euphoric youths and passersby traveling along Lamosanghu-Jiri road amid snowcapped hills stopped their vehicles at Kharibot to play with snow. Kharibot received mild snowfall but it snowed heavily in the surrounding hills. Shailung region, Hanumante hill, alinchowk, Khawa, Cherdung and other regions have all been painted white. [break]

Meanwhile, heavy snowing on Monday has obstructed Jaya Prithvi Bahadur Singh Highway at several places in Dadeldhura leaving hundreds of passengers stranded.
The passengers leaving for Chainpur of Bajhang and Purchaudi of Baitadi have been stranded at Shribhawar, Dudilakhan, Bithad, Deulek and several other places along the highway, according to a local businessman Shailendra Dhanuk.
Dozens of buses, trucks, jeeps and other vehicles have been forced to drop anchor at different places after snowfall prevented their movement. The massive snowfall is also set to affect the upcoming Mahashivaratri fair in Khodpe.
