KATHMANDU, May 3: The District Administration Office (DAO) Kathmandu on Tuesday remanded Prem Raj Devkota, who slapped UCPN (Maoist) lawmaker Jhakku Prasad Subedi, into judicial custody for six days to investigate into the incident.

Devkota had twice slapped Subedi at a tea shop at Tinkune on Monday for the latter´s failure to draft new constitution on time.

Subedi became famous after he defeated the erstwhile general secretary of CPN-UML Madhav Kumar Nepal in the Constituent Assembly election in 2008 from the same constituency.
