Devastating earthquake:1,820 killed In Sindhupalchowk district alone

Sindhupalchowk, May 1: Sindhupalchowk, the district suffering worst in the earthquake, has updated the death toll at 1,820.


National Investigation Department Chief in the district, Uttam Khanal, informed that among thousands of people injured in the quake, 614 were sent to Kathmandu for treatment.

He added that a joint coordination committee has been formed involving various political parties from all three constituencies in the district. The committee has continued rescue in Melamchi, Bahrabise, Tatopani and other places.

The rescue was still underway in Sano Siruwa, Syaule, and Kerabari.

Meanwhile, the locals from Sanga, Harre and Bandeu along the Kodari Highway have hindered the vehicular movement reasoning they did not get relief materials on time. RSS
