DCA consisting of 17 players and seven officials will play nine practice matches with the age group teams of Sri Lankan club. According to DCA President Subash Shahi, the tour was arranged on the initiative of national team coach Pubudu Dassanayake.[break]
"The tour will be vital in establishing relations with Sri Lankan cricket," said Shahi during the farewell function held in Dhangadhi on Thursday.
"Lack of exposure is the major problem in domestic cricket. Thus we have tried to give more and more exposure to our players in order to boost their confidence level within a short period after setting up the DCA." DCA was set a year ago and has been recognized as the first branch of National Cricket Academy run by Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN).
