The quake damaged several trails and the suspension bridges that connected the village to the neighboring places. The people of the village, which is located in the bordering area of Tibet, are facing dire situations as their mobility has been paralyzed by the devastation wrought by the earthquake, according to the locals.A group of people had reached the district headquarters on Wednesday to demand construction of damaged trails and suspension bridges as soon as possible.
"We are completely dependent on the Tibetan market," said Karma Sherpa, a member of the delegation.
The village is 56 km far from the district headquarters of Charikot. The delegation met Dolakha's Chief District Officer Pushpa Rah Shahi and expressed their grievances. They said that they had to walk for hours to reach the Tibetan border while they could reach the nearest Nepali market in two days.
They submitted a memorandum to CDO Shahi asking him to take necessary actions to repair the damaged infrastructure.
More than a dozen people of the village were killed in the earthquake all of whom have yet to receive the relief promised by the government.
