Dahal urges PM Nepal to speed up army integration

KATHMANDU, Sept 27: Chairman of Unified CPN (Maoist) Pushpa Kamal Dahal met with Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal and urged to speed up army integration process.



During the 15-minute meeting held at Prime Minister´s official residence at Baluwatar, Dahal requested the Prime Minister to complete army integration within the Nepali month of Poush as mentioned in the agreement recently signed with the government, said Prachanda´s aide Samir Dahal.



Meanwhile, newly appointed French Ambassador to Nepal Jean Charles Demarchis paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Nepal.



On the occasion, the Prime Minister congratulated him and wished him success during his tenure in Nepal. The duo also discussed matters related to mutual interest.



Demarchis expressed commitment to make his all effort to promote the relations between Nepal and France and said that his country will continue its support for Nepal´s peace process and constitution-drafting. He also pledged that France will continue financial assistance to Nepal.
