Addressing the closed session of the League´s ongoing First General Convention here on Tuesday, he said the party was for holding the CA election on November 19 at any cost and that the YCL should play an active role for that purpose, YCL Newa State In-charge Ram Prasad Sapkota said. [break]
Dahal also called on the YCL to play a strong role in foiling the activities targeted against the election. He directed the YCL cadres to expand the organizational base down to the village level and work actively in favour of the election during the entire election period so that the party would garner majority votes in the election.
The UCPN (Maoist) chairman said that the party constituted the production brigade as per its decision endorsed by the party´s general convention to engage the youths in production and development sectors.
He added that the party planned to expand this programme throughout the country immediately after the CA election.
The YCL general convention started on August 31 and it is slated to conclude today evening, Sapkota said.
