Court orders police to register complaint

SURKHET, July 6: Appellate Court Surkhet has ordered the District Police Office (DPO) to register a complaint lodged by Devisara Poudel of Satakhani-5 against Nepal Army personnel. The bench of Appellate Court judges Bishwanath Joshi and Nirmal Kumar Dhungana gave the order.



Poudel has sought to lodge a complaint against 19 people, including Captain Sharad Lamichhane and Warrant Officer Ram Bahadur Mahat of Mid-Western Artillery Battalion for the murder of her husband Bhuwani Prasad.



She had reached the DPO on January 9, but officials there refused to register her complaint.
