One of the categories is for Lifetime Achievement. Each category has five nominees as contending aspirants.
“We mainly focus on the quality of music in the selection process,” informed Mandira Dhungel, Program Manager of Hits FM. She added that the award ceremony will tentatively take place in the first week of January.
The main sponsor for the event is Close-Up and it is co-sponsored by Commerz & Trust Bank, Broadlink, Janata Bank Nepal Ltd, and Prime Life Insurance.
For the best New Artist category, Kristina Allen, Leezum Bhutia, Meena Singh, Santosh Lama and Seema Sangraula have been nominated. Kristina Allen is the youngest singer to be nominated in two categories.
1974 AD seems to have bagged the maximum number of nominations. With hope, they will win in the respective categories, too.
Every category will have five nominees and voters can select the artiste, name of the song from the list provided on the website.
