Cop killed in Sunsari road mishap

ITAHARI, Sept 15: A head constable of Armed Police Force was killed after being hit by a passenger bus at Pakali of Sunsari along the East-West Highway Wednesday night.



Head constable Chet Bahadur Raut posted at Siddhakali Battalion of the AFP was seriously injured after the Kathmandu-bound bus (Na 3 Kha 7372) from Dharan struck him on the road. [break]



Following the incident, he was rushed to BP Koirala Memorial Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan, where he breathed his last during the course of treatment.



Two others were also injured in the incident. Both of them are receiving treatment at a local health clinic.
