Consensus key to new statute: Minister Chaudhary

BUTWAL, Nov 11: Minister for Women, Children and Social Welfare, Dan Bahadur Chaudhary has said there is no alternative for political parties to forge consensus for the promulgation of new constitution.



Constitution of the country is not like the statute that of any political parties, he asserted, adding that political parties should come to a point to accomplish the drafting of common constitution. [break]



Addressing the 11th annual general assembly of Western Regional Petroleum Dealers Association held in Butwal Thursday, Minister Chaudhary further said the draft of the constitution would come only when political parties reached a common understanding.



He informed that most of the public enterprisers under the government ownership are on financial loss.
