Issuing a statement, Doug Anderson, President and CEO of CWT, and David Berg, Chief Operating Officer of Carlson, said: "Carlson's colleagues and guests around the world have two quick and easy options to make an immediate and significant impact. They have set up a special Red Cross microsite for employee donations and are also encouraging donations to Global Impact to help fund the emergency relief effort in Nepal. Funds collected will be disbursed to Red Cross and Global Impact efforts in Nepal, and each will be matched, up to $10,000, by the Carlson Family Foundation".
According to the statement, Global Impact is a charity that manages Carlson Against Sex Trafficking Fund and works with numerous charity partners during disasters. Contributions to the Global Impact Nepal Earthquake Relief Fund will support the rescue, relief and rebuilding efforts of Global Impact's partners responding to the earthquake on the ground, such as Doctors Without Borders, UNICEF and World Vision, according to the statement.
"These charities are providing people and communities in need with clean drinking water, food supplies, relief kits, necessary medical attention and safe shelter," said the statement.
