CA polls at any cost: UCPN (Maoist)

KATHMANDU, July 31: Leaders of UCPN (Maoist) have vowed to hold the Constituent Assembly (CA) election at any cost on the scheduled date of November 19.



Speaking to a press meet organized in Nuwakot, UCPN (Maoist) leader Poshta Bahadur Bogati said the decision of the CPN-Maoist to disrupt the election would not make any difference. [break]



In Janakpur, another UCPN (Maoist) leader Giri Raj Mani Pokharel told reporters "the party is likely to launch a door-to-door campaign before August 16” in the run-up to the election.



In Bara, UCPN (Maoist) leader Ram Chandra Jha claimed that the CPN-Maoist had no “strength” to disrupt the polls. "All the agitating parties except the Baidya-led Maoists will join the election as they are in favor of meaningful polls," Jha added.
