CA member Yadav 'innocent', released

KATHMANDU, March 1: Police, on Saturday night, released Krishna Yadav, a Constituent Assembly (CA) member arrested on Friday afternoon in a "compromising position" in a massage parlor.

 

Police had earlier said they would file a case against him under the Public Offense Act.



According to Inspector Prajjwal Maharjan, chief of Metropolitan Police Sector Office, Singha Durbar, where the CA member representing Nepali Congress was detained, Yadav was released at about 10 pm on Saturday after he was found ´innocent´ during investigation.



Metropolitan Police Range Office, Kathmandu, had arrested Yadav, who got elected from Rautahat-4 along with four women from the massage parlor located behind Kanti Children´s Hospital.



However, Yadav had had claimed that he was arrested when he was staying in the home of his acquaintance.
