CA meet ends with passing of another condolence proposal

KATHMANDU, June 8: The meeting of the Constituent Assembly (CA) endorsed a condolence proposal in the demise of former Member of Parliament Dr Gopal Koirala. The proposal tabled by CA Chair Subas Nembang was passed unanimously.

Elected to the Parliament in the by-elections held in 2056 B.S., leader Koirala died at the age of 83 on June 6. He was elected from Jhapa constituency no. 6, on behalf of the Nepali Congress. A minute's silence was also observed at the meeting today, wishing for eternal peace to the departed soul of Dr Koirala.


The Constituent Assembly will meet again at 3:00 pm tomorrow. RSS
