Sunakothi126@hotmail.com My experience in Nepal is of 22 years of coming and going. Since the earthquake I noticed understanding, change, cooperation and friendliness. Just entering Tribhuvan Airport it was all smiles and no one fussed any longer about suitcases going in the controlled or faster free path it was a real home coming and WELCOME. Obviously tourists stopped and we need those?
In other countries we have administration to do, but in the years I worked helping homes in Nepal I always got like an artistic write up. Spices, transportation, never the real thing...

We saw during the disaster of the earthquake aid, that 1. Kathmandu kept all to themselves, 2. Distribution was like corrupt, 3. Multiple conflicts of interest.

Of course the habit of stealing or pickpocketing is difficult to overcome, when a school takes for themselves and not doing a good job of teaching, or school uniforms all half broken yet Principals have a big car, you feel somebody does not understand our standing and being of service.
Of course a principal should not go in rags on an old bicycle we left the middle ages, balance we are looking for a new balance.
Accountability is the word one must justify choices of spending and usually selfishness will be the main cause of greed and unbalance in transparency. Then when all is tip top a good government in the future can make interesting education, create happy jobs so no one has to suffer in Saoudi Arabia or learn Korean. I worked and lived in 2 european counties Italy and Netherlands with suicides from elderly people in Italy because elderly notably can not pay taxes, Netherlands is a wonderful place to be, yet taxes take a lot, but the good news is in spite of the crisis now all want to come here and our pension comes later, and does not cover much but hey this is what we saved working and paying taxes a life long.
I believe India is not all settled in these matters, and of course super rich avoid, but system will improve and equal will be equal that is what you want it is not about money actually it is about human rights and equality, awareness.
In a normal country we love our environment, we hate taxes and must pay or go to jail. This enables ANY government to just rule no big thing nothing Kings or slavery, a government is a bunch of women and men who went to University and are good at serving the nation.
