Fuel imports generated the highest revenue among the major import items, contributing Rs 2.29 billion, followed by liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) at Rs 1.8 billion. Imports of bitumen generated Rs 1.4 billion, while apple and pear imports contributed Rs 500 million.

Despite exceeding its monthly target, the office fell short of its cumulative revenue target for the first three months of the current fiscal year.

By the end of Ashoj, it had collected Rs 69.13 billion against a target of Rs 70.56 billion.

The office attributed its success in meeting the monthly target partly to increased economic activity during the festive season.
