KATHMANDU, Nov 8:  Birat Oil has canceled supply agreement with Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) unilaterally on Sunday.

The company canceled the agreement with the state-owned oil monopoly after two different parliamentary committees started investigation into awarding of contract and providing Rs 200 million to Birat Oil to open a letter of credit (LC) for importing petroleum products into Nepal.

Birat Oil in a statement issued today said it was not allowed to work by dragging it into controversy ill-intentionally.
