United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) leaders gheraoed and chanted slogans as soon as parliament session began. Speaker Onsari Gharti Magar resumed the meeting despite the protests.Chairman of bill committee Ganga Chaudhary tabled the bill related to reconstruction authority while Minister of Law Agni Kharel tabled constitution amendment bill.
Parliamentarian representing Sadbhawana Party Laxman Karna said that the major political parties have displayed undemocratic practice by tabling the bills in parliament.
Earlier, UDMF had agreed to assist in tabling bill related to reconstruction authority while Nepali Congress had been demanding that the bill related to constitution amendment tabled at parliament along with reconstruction authority.
UDMF had been differing over NC's demands.
The parliament meeting has been called off till tomorrow.
