BARA, Dec 7: Former prime minister and Nepali Congress (NC) leader Sher Bahadur Deuba Wednesday stated that Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai had beat his record of the largest cabinet.

Speaking to the media persons in Bara airport where he is scheduled to attend a program, Deuba said he had to face severe criticisms from people for the size of his cabinet which was now surpassed by Bhattarai.

He said that a consensus government should be formed at the earliest and he claimed that he would be the next prime minister as his party had also agreed on the same.

Another NC leader Ram Chandra Paudel who reached Bara to attend the same program claimed that he will be leading the national consensus government.

"However, the current need of the nation is constitution and peace," he added.

Talking about the Bharatpur jail incident, Paudel said that the home minister should resign if the culprits go scot-free.
