Bharat Khawas leaves Police Club

KATHMANDU, April 30:Nepali international footballer Bharat Khawas is on sale. Khawas decided to leave Nepal Police Club after he was unsuccessful to pass the examination for Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) of Nepal Police.



The results of the exam were published on Monday. [break]



"I was waiting for the result of ASI exam. I decided to leave NPC as I could not pass the exams," said Nepali international midfielder cum striker who played a vital role in guiding Police towards the title of National League and Martyrs Memorial A Division League in last season. Khawas had joined NPC last season after he was told that he would be considered for the post of ASI by the departmental team.



Khawas was declared the best forward in the National League and he had scored 14 goals for the departmental team in the Martyrs Memorial A Division League.



He appeared in 16 of the 17 games of the Martyrs Memorial League. Khawas was praised as a player with professional attitude by former national team coach Graham Roberts.

"I will shortly decide which team I shall join," said Khawas, who did not feature in the British Gorkha Cup as he was waiting for the result.



Khawas has been called to join the training camp of the national team for group stage of U-22 Asian Cup to be held next month in Nepal.
