The event dubbed “Celebrating Lhocchar with the Beauties” will see Avinash Ghising, Subani Moktan, Megh Lama, Yogita Moktan, Bhim Bomjon and Mingma Sherpa perform to an audience of more than 300.
Kreety Tamang Lama, Republica Miss Teen 2010; Selina Moktan, Miss Global 2010; Sammi Bhoju, Miss Tamang 2010, Tshering Moktan, Miss Teen Tamang 2009, Meghna Lama, Miss Teen Tamang 2009; Priya Rani Lama, Miss Purbanchal 1st Runner-up, Ievane Tamang, Miss Teen 2010 Finalist, Helen Tamang, Miss Tamang 2009 1st Runner-up will be present at the event. Sahana Bajracharya, coordinator of the event and First Runner-up of Miss Nepal 2010, informed, “All the proceeds from the event will be utilized for building toilets in Thulopakha and Dadapakha villages in Sindhupalchowk.”
The event is one among the many programs organized by “Project Muskaan.” Bajracharya explained, “Project Muskaan is a joint venture of Zenisha Moktan, Miss Nepal 2009; Kunchang Moktan, Miss Nepal Second Runner up 2009, and me.”
As one of the organizers, Zenisha Moktan shared her experience, “It’s obviously hard work; event management involves a lot of work. But when you’re helping a cause close to your heart, it’s worth it.”
Not a new one to the event organizing, the group raised Rs 60,000 during Tamang Lhocchar 2010 and utilized it to fulfill basic educational amenities for children in Rasuwa district. The project hopes to continue with its social work in the future.
The event is taking place at Anmol Catering of Baneshwor on Saturday, January 29. The tickets are priced at Rs 1,100 each, and the event includes drinks and dinner.
