The company said it would open its next outlet in Gwarko, Katmandu. Remaining four outlets will be opened in the premises of upcoming branches of Bhatbhateni Supermarket and Departmental Store in Koteswor, Bouddha, Pulchowk and Pokhara.[break]
The company said it is making a fresh investment of around Rs 304 million to execute its latest expansion drive.
“The 11th outlet of Bakery Cafe in Gwarko will come into operation within a month,” said Anup Kakshapati, Director of Nanglo Bakery Café. The Gwarko outlet targets to cater to customers in Lalitpur.
According to Kakshapati, the company has injected fresh investments of around Rs 10 million for opening the outlet in Gwarko alone.
As for the other four outlets, the company has strategically decided to grow with the expansion of Bhatbhateni — the fastest growing retail store chain. It has already entered in an understanding with Bhatbhateni to open an outlet in every branch of the supermarket.
“Accordingly, we are soon opening an outlet in Bhatbhateni Mart that came into service recently in Koteshwor,” Kakshapati stated, adding that the outlet at Koteshwor will come into operation in four months.
Other outlets in Bouddha, Pulchowk and Pokhara too will come into operation once Bhatbhateni completes constructions and starts business at the new locations, he elaborated. Nanglo has already been running two outlets in the premises of Bhatbhateni Supermarket at Maharajgung and Bhatbhateni.

Officials at Bakery Cafe said that the expansion plan was a part of the company´s strategy to reach out to a larger number of customers across the country.
The expansion of the chain will also create employment opportunities for more than 150 people.
Apart from its tie up with Bhatbhateni, Nanglo officials disclosed that they are also preparing to expand the chain to cities outside the Valley. At present, the company is operating two outlets in Palpa and Butwal under the brand Nanglo West.
“Once the situation turns favorable, we will open Nanglo outlets in Dharan and Birgunj in the first phase,” said Kakshapati. “People from different parts of the nation visit our chains in the Valley and we want to open outlets for them in their local place.”
The upcoming outlets will serve the fast-food menu that the existing outlets have been serving. “Our vision is to reach all segments of customers, rather than changing our menu,” he said.
