Explore Digital - the retail outlet of Explore Asia Pacific -- is offering 30 percent discount on Panda antivirus. The company is providing antivirus for three users at Rs 600 and Internet security for single user at Rs 500. “We are providing the antivirus at discounted rates to promote our brand and encourage people to use antivirus,” Ajay Sadewra, director of Explore Asia Pacific.
Sagar Infosys, the authorized distributor of Kaspersky, is providing 50 percent discount on Kaspersky antivirus and Internet security at the Info-Tech. “We are providing antivirus at a very special discounted rate to promote the use of antivirus,” said Akesh Vaidya, sales in-charge of the company.
The company is providing Kaspersky antivirus at Rs 550 for single user and Rs 1,100 for three users. The regular price of these products is Rs 1,000 and Rs 2,000, respectively. Similarly, it is providing Internet security for single user at Rs 900 and three users at Rs 1,800. The market price of these products is Rs 2,000 and Rs 4,000, respectively.
Zeal Enterprises that represents McAfee in Nepal is providing 50 percent discount on antivirus. “We are offering McAfee antivirus for single user at Rs 400 and three users at Rs 800,” said Tarjan Kunwar of Zeal Enterprises.
Similarly, the company is offering Internet security worth Rs 2,000 for three users at Rs 1,000.
SilverCrest Networks, which deals on Eset Nod 32 antivirus, is providing 30 percent discount at the Info-Tech. “We have announced special discount to promote our brand and make antivirus available at affordable rates,” Sandeep Maharjan of SilverCrest Networks said. “We are also providing 6 months additional validity and a laptop bag free of cost.”

“I bought Eset Nod 32 antivirus as I bound the offer interesting,” said Ram Baniya, a visitor, said.
Dealers of antivirus and Internet security products say more people are using these products in their laptops and desktops as the price of price of genuine antivirus has gone down is recent years.
