"We have seen the overwhelming numbers of visitors beyond our expectations," Ram Chandra Poudel, vice president of the ECAN said on Friday expressing hope that the number of visitors will go higher on Saturday, as the students and guardians will be on holiday. He informed that most of the students and guardians that visited the stalls inquired about studying in Japan, Australia, the US and Canada.
Yogesh Bhattarai, secretary of CPN UML, urged educational consultancies for giving proper guidance and assistance to students in choosing right academics, during his visit to the fair on Friday. Along with that Bhattarai stressed on creating environment for foreign students to come and study in Nepal."If foreign students stay longer in Nepal, they will understand our culture at close quarters and through their researches and interactions will help in spreading knowledge about our heritage across the world. This would ultimately boost our economy," he added.
With more than 200 stalls, organizers claimed that it the fair has brought all foreign education consultants together under one roof to provide guidance on studying in well-known universities of India, China, Bangladesh, Australia, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Canada, among other destinations.
