They returned to their respective offices after they received nod from Legal Department of the Military Headquarters that SC order has clearly asked them to return to work. Some of them have already reached their offices and some are on the way. [break]
“We cannot stop them from returning to work as court order is clear about their return to work until a final verdict comes,” said BA Kumar Sharma, chief of the army’s Legal Department. “It is, however, an internal affair of the army headquarters to decide what responsibility they should be given.”
The generals submitted court order documents at the Legal Department asking for further interpretation and necessary action as soon as the office opened Wednesday. Sharma said there was no need for interpretation as the court clearly ordered the government not to implement the non-extension order by Military Secretariat Department of the army HQ and the Defense Ministry.
General Pawan Jung Pande was at Directorate of Military Intelligence, Narendra Bahadur Rawal at Staff College, Kumar Budhathoki at Mlitary Welfare Directorate, Nara Bahadur Kandel at Military Academy in Kharipati and Pradip Bikram Rana was at Research and Development Department of the army HQ before the government decided not to extend their term for another three years.
Similarly, Raju Pratap KC was at Valley Division, Ramesh Bishta at Signal Directorate in Tripureshwar and Shiva Poudyal was at Artillery Directorate in Lagankhel.
