APF trounces Midwest region APF

KATHMANDU, July 30: The Armed Police Force (APF) team entered the quarter finals of the Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) Cup Women´s National Football Championship by eliminating the Midwest Region team 10-0 in a match held at the Army Public Relations Directorate ground in Bhadrakali on Tuesday.



Anita Basnet, Pramila Rai, Laxmi Basnet and Anu Lama each made hat-trick, Sanjana Rana scored five goals while Renuka Nagarkoti and Sapana Rai one goal each for APF. [break]



Three departmental teams [APF, Nepal Army and Nepal Police] and teams from the five development regions are participating in the championship which is conducted on a knock-out basis. The winning team will bag a prize of 300 thousand rupees.
