CHITWAN, Oct 5: : At least seven students were injured in a clash between students affiliated to All Nepal National Independent Student´s Union -Revolutionary (ANNISU-R) and Nepal Student Union (NSU) students at Rampur Agriculture Campus on Tuesday.
The clash ensued following dispute over enrollment of new students.
The injured NSU students Santosh Sanjel, Pramod Pant, Bed Prakash Bhatta and Chetan Thapa are undergoing treatment at Chitwan Medical College while ANNISU-R-aligned students Binay Bikram Ratna, Uttam Acharya and Bijesh Mishra are being treated at Bharatpur Medical College.
Rampur Campus unit NSU President Niraj Koirala claimed that Young Communist League cadres were also involved in the incident. Issuing a statement, NSU-affiliated students have announced indefinite closure of the campus.
