ANFA aid to Shrestha's children

KATHMANDU, June 28: The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) on Sunday decided to provide Rs 50,000 per month for the education of late ANFA Acting President Lalit Krishna Shrestha's two children -- a son and a daughter.

The executive committee meeting of ANFA chaired by its President Ganesh Thapa, whose self-suspension to facilitate FIFA's corruption investigation against him ended on Friday, took the decision. According to ANFA,the football governing body shall provide the amount from mid of June until the completion of Shrestha's daughter Sristika and son Shreyesh higher secondary education (+2). Shrestha's twin children are six year old.ANFA Acting President and Ruslan Vodka Three Star Club President Shrestha died on June 12 after he was electrocuted at his house in Bhaisepati.

The meeting also decision to ask for financial support to Shrestha's family at the national and international level and initiate for employment to his widow -- Nilu Shrstha.

Likewise, ANFA also decided to hold a U-16 Championship in his memory every year, build and name a hall after Shrestha under the parapet being built at the ANFA Academy ground and erect a half statue of Shrestha inside the hall.

Besides, the meeting also decided to hold ANFA's regular annual General Assembly on September 2. Earlier, the meeting started after observing a minute of silence in the memory of late Shrestha.
