AFC U-14 girl's final to be played Sunday

KATHMANDU, Dec 18: All Nepal Football Association is set to host the final match of the AFC U-14 Girls' Regional Championship between host Nepal and Bangladesh at the Army Physical Fitness and Sports Centre in Lagankhel on Sunday.

Organizing a press meet at the ANFA Complex on Friday, the football governing of Nepal informed that the match will be played at 11.00 am NST.The match was originally scheduled for April 25 at the Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwar. But it was cancelled following the devastating earthquake that rocked the country on the same day a couple of hours prior to the kick off.

According to ANFA, Bangladesh Football Federation has wished to play the final match and the Asian Football Confederation informed ANFA about it.

Meanwhile, ANFA informed that all sort of preparation for the final has been completed.

Nepal had reached the final beating India while Bangladesh had defeated Iran to confirm the title clash against host Nepal.

Nepal, Bangladesh, India, Bhutan, Iran, the Maldives and Sri Lanka are the teams featured in the championship.

Puja Rana is the captain of the Nepali team, Kishor KC is the coach while Ganga Gurung and Ashmita Khawas are the assisting coaches.
